Bold Introvert; Let’s Hear From Kanndiss

Name Kanndiss Riley

Random question: You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why? Orange – sunrise give me the idea of new and good

Are you a bold introvert? Have you always been one? I have had always been a bold introvert. As a child, I have always been quite outgoing and liked to meet other people. However, I think because I was an only child I enjoyed to the same extent being alone and playing by myself. As I grew up I found that I had a tougher time having time alone as well as a busy social life. Being a bold introvert I think our outward persona makes people think we are social butterflies but within we can be quiet shy, find it hard to judge character and worry about the impressions we are giving.

What do you do? I am a Wellbeing Coach, I also teach P.E in high schools/secondary education. I have been public speaking and event hosting for a couple of years enjoying meeting new people and talking about Health and Wellbeing. I started my company KR WELLBEING on 1st January 2018 to bring together all my interests and focus on building a community of people on a journey to happiness by improving their physical and mental wellbeing.

What are you most proud of? I think graduating from university is still the topmost proud moment of my life. I have performed in many London stages such as the Royal Albert Hall and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra but something is different about spending 3 years getting a dream. “Dreams are free but the goal takes hard work” this quote resonates with me because it was the first time I really took my education into my own hands and took full responsibility for everything I did. I had to work for it because I wanted it and it wasn’t for anyone else but me.

Do you feel that your personality trait has helped you achieve your goals? Indeed, because very resilient has helped me keep going when tunes are tough. My ability to finesse over every detail when planning something actually helps me out in the end; by always being over prepared I can change plans quite seamlessly. Being an introvert means I get time to be selfless and tune in to my inner me to check on my own mental health

What advice do you have for introverts that are worried about chasing their dreams? One day you have to take control. One day you have to choose you. One day you have to see your self-worth. Being an introvert doesn’t mean you let people choose or run your life for you. It is very easy to let someone do the hard work but it is more for filling in to do it yourself.
